Vivian Richardson

Vivian Richardson enjoyed careers as a Corporate Trainer for a Fortune 200 Company and Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist. A critical thought leader and strategic thinker, her passion is to help women develop a better quality of life and find their greater place in life. A community builder and masterful networker, Ms. Richardson values and welcomes every person she encounters.

As a Corporate
Ms. Richardson is a seasoned student and teacher of the Bible; most recently focusing on Women’s Bible Studies.
Trainer she supported Women in Business through mentoring, coaching, and training throughout the United States. She has taught Bible studies, including Precept and Bethel, for more than 20 years.

Ms. Richardson served as Basileus of Chi Eta Phi Sorority, Iota Chapter, Board Chairperson of C.W. Williams Health Center, Member of the Mecklenburg County Women’s Commission, Board Member of the American Cancer Society, and Black Women’s Health Forum. She has received numerous recognition and awards for her service.

Ms. Richardson received a degree in Nursing and Nurse Anesthesia and a BA degree in Religious Study from Southern Evangelical Seminary.

Gina Patterson

VICE CHAIRPERSON

 

Gina Patterson is a Sales Development Coach for New Avon, LLC, and lives in Dacula Georgia.  She has worked at Avon for 11 years supporting and developing Top Leaders and Top Sellers to grow their Business.

Gina has a passion for helping others achieve their dreams and goals through partnering, leading workshops, and one on one coaching sessions.

Gina is a native of Virginia where she was a member of the Junior League of Lynchburg and worked on many projects that impacted the community focusing on supporting women and children. Gina has also been involved with Habitat for Humanity and in addition has volunteered with local Food banks in North Carolina. As a resident of Dacula, Gina has supported many organizations that focus on local Women’s Shelters and organizations supporting women living with HIV.

Gina graduated from Brooks College, Long Beach California with a Degree in Fashion Merchandising. She is the proud Mother of two sons. She is a member of Victory World Church in Buford, Georgia. Gina currently serves as Vice Chairman on the Board of GKOW.

Gina enjoys decorating and currently is enrolled online pursuing her degree in Interior design as she has a desire to start her own business in Interior Decorating & Design. She also enjoys all genres of music and dance.

Willie Alexander

INTERNAL COMMITTEE

Willie is a happily married mother of four. She retired from the medical field after twenty-seven years as an office manager and insurance billing manager.

Willie attends Central Church of God and is active with the Black Pearls, A Circle of Friends and Reading Partners with Charlotte Mecklenburg Schools. She enjoys traveling, especially with family.

Phyllis Davis

SECRETARY

 

Phyllis is a retired school District Educational Administrator, native of Charlotte, Life Learner! 

Graduated with a Bachelor of Science from NC Agricultural & Technical State University (Education).  Graduated with a Master of Arts from Adelphi University ( Special Education K-12) Garden City, New York. Graduated with Master of Science (Education Administration) from Brooklyn College (CUNY) Brooklyn NY. Dowling College, Brookheaven, NY ( EDD/ Ph.D. Educational Leadership & Technology).

Teacher k-Adult Edu. (12 yrs) New York City Dept. Of Education; School District Administrator -20 yrs in various school districts(New York City Dept. Of Education, Hartsdale School District- Westchester County NY; Freeport School District - Nassau County NY

Current: Educational Consultant. Language Immersion Instructor, Cruising Granny

Sherry Harris

ASSISTANT SECRETARY

Sherry received her Bachelor of Arts Degree and her Master’s in Education from UNCC. She taught Gifted Education and led teachers as a Literacy Facilitator in Charlotte Mecklenburg Schools for twenty-four years.

In 1996 Sherry was selected as North Carolina‘s Gifted Teacher of the year.

Sherry was president of the Charlotte Reading Association for three years .
Sherry has volunteered in many areas of ministries at Central Church. She has led Women’s Bible Study for twelve years and is currently co-leading a Women’s Teacup Ministry in her home.

Sherry serves on the Women’s Prayer Team and is a women’s small group bible leader.

She has served as a Bible School Teacher for preschool and elementary children for twenty years.
Sherry has participated in ten International Short Term Mission Trips.
Sherry writes a monthly devotion for the Primetimer’s Ministry at Central
Currently she is a blogger, with her daughter, to encourage women in their faith at www.heartstobless.com.

Sherry has been married forty-four years to Richard and they have four children, eleven grandchildren and six great grandchildren.
